Please Sign My Broken Nose

It’s 4:30am and I just got home from a 6 hour visit to the emergency room. I broke my nose playing basketball last night. I was chasing after a loose ball and collided hard with another player.

I was lying in the hospital bed and thinking about how one of the coolest parts about breaking a bone is that everyone gets to sign your cast. But I’m realizing that I don’t have a cast, so I’m missing out big time Lol  So I decided to create this post instead :)
I’ve had better days and could use some love…would you sign my nose?!…Would you write in the comment section below whatever you would write on my nose?
.
Hard to believe that such a tiny little crack could cause such a disruption!
And looking at this pic makes me wish I would have stuck my finger up my nose after the x-ray tech positioned me and went into the other room to snap this image! That would’ve made this pic so much better!…seeing the unexpected bones of my finger lodged up inside my nose! I’ll have to remember that if there’s ever a next time! Lol
.
My nose always was a little crooked. Hey, maybe when all is said and done, it will have straightened out a bit!!

  1. Oh Eric, Poor Babe!!! NO FUN, what happened? Did the ball hit you in the nose? You must have a spilling headache too. So sorry for you!!!!

    • Hi Auntie Jan! Thank you for your sweet message. I’m doing ok. My nose is sore, but the pain is tolerable. The worst part so far happened about an hour ago when I had my first sneeze LOL I’ve been fighting sneezes off all morning, but this one was unstoppable and came out! OuCh! And when I realized I had to sneeze I made the mistake of trying to brace my nose with my two hands, and I think I ended up making it worse because my whole body shook when I sneezed and I ended up putting even more pressure on my nose! Won’t do that again! Lol!
And the injury occurred when me and an opposing player were racing after a loose ball…my face collided full force with the top of his head! It happened so fast…he came from the side and I didn’t even see him until it was too late…and then Kabam!…I saw pretty stars Lol…and was bleeding good! I’ll be okay though! Good thing our family is blessed with such hard heads :)
Thank You for your concern!!! Love you! Eric

  2. Um…well, I can try to be nice and say that you’ve never looked better–that’d be a lie. But think of the upside! Maybe the ANW folks will see you and say “this guy’s tough”, enabling you to get on the show and win tons of money. If that happens, a broken nose will be nothing worse than an inappropriate sneeze!
